Costa Logistics were the first major corporate partner to recognize the impact of footyWILD as a corporate social investment, announcing a three year cash and in-kind sponsorship deal with AFL South Africa in July 2007. Costa Logistics is the major partner of the footyWILD BIG 5 program which teaches the BIG 5 skills of AFL to South African boys and girls aged 8-13 years. This unique partnership includes in-kind support in the form of office space for AFL South Africa staff at their company headquarters in Rivonia. In return, AFL South Africa deliver the footyWILD program to two major geographical areas of particular interest to Costa Logistics – Alexandra and Thembisa townships provide a significant percentage of local staff to their Longmeadow plant with the children of Costa employees actively engaged in footyWILD on a weekly basis.
