Last weekend’s North West Provincial Championships at Mohadin Stadium in Potchefstroom provided further evidence to everyone in attendance that the North West Dockers will take some beating as they seek to defend their National title on the same ground later this month.

The North West event was held over two days of round robin competition with no less than 16 games involving four regions in two age categories –Extreme (Open) and High (Secondary).

The Provincial trophies went to the Dr. Ruth Mompati region in footyWILD High who defeated Dr. Modiri Molema region by 6.6. 42 points to 0.2. 2

In footyWILD Extreme, the Open age champion was Dr. Modiri Molema region who defeated Dr. Ruth Mompati region 7.7. 49 points to 4.2. 26.

The Provincials is a truly mass participation event with a total of 200 players, coaches and umpires converging on Potchefstroom for the weekend.
